3D Printing – Fabricating for a Function: III

This is my final product! My 3D printed ring stand. This project started off being a little trialing for me, as I was struggling using Fusion 360. However; over my time fidgeting with the program I was able to get a better understanding of how it all worked. After finishing the design process I then moved on to formatting it for printing and splicing the design to ensure its accuracy and production of the physical element.

I did have to change the sizing of the model once I moved it over to the cura software when I realized it was still a little too small for use. Once I resized it I went ahead with the printing of it and boom, it was like magic. My product came out perfectly after the first print. It serves its purpose in having a large enough base to stop the rings from falling off and tall enough to ensure a large capacity of rings on it. I’d say this 3D print suffices its function.
